Are you a blogger in Springfield? Chances are you are listed in a blog directory for all Springfield IL bloggers. http://www.spfldbloggers.com/ has been up and running thanks to After Hours Development. The website itself is an RSS feed of all the blogs that are related to Springfield. If a blog posts something new, it shows up on the site. Its a great directory of blogs that are around springfield. If you want your blog added to their database, send them an email and they should get back to you and add you.
For this reason, I have added spfldbloggers to our website links.
I would like to take the time to apologize for the website downtime we have experienced this week. We should be back up and running as of now. If you receive any errors while using this website, PLEASE report them in the bugs section of the forum or email mail[at symbol]talkspringfield[period]com. We had to restore a backup that really didnt exist because of our previous web host. We have since taken our webhost to another company that so far has outdone itself.
You will start to see features added to this website as time goes by. Most importantly this front page will be filled with interesting articles and images from Springfield IL and Springfield only. If you would like to write an article, feel free to register a account with the front page and create one. Once that article is written, we will review and approve it if appropriate. Thank you.
Springfield Roleplayers will have our November meetup at Mecca Games in Springfield. We play all manner of roleplaying games – Dungeons & Dragons, Vampire, and other such games. The meetup will have at least two games going on, plus its a great way to meet gamers in the area.
Membership and attendance is free. New players are more than welcome. Whether you’ve been gaming for years and want to meet new people, or might be interested in a new hobby, this is the place for you. The games for November are yet to be determined. If you want to come, sign up on the site and vote!

When this site originally was devised we had a few goals. At the forefront we wanted to enable communication between everyone in Springfield, IL and its surrounding cities. Craigslist had a feature like this, but everyone either had to communicate via new thread or emailing directly.
